Ballpoint heads, cut out of the page they were drawn on.
Sketchbook drawings made in a single ballpoint colour, hatched until the head reads as solid, then cut free of the sheet so that the silhouette becomes part of the drawing.
They are the source the larger work draws on: the crowns, the stacked faces and the long tapered skulls all appear here first, at the size of a hand.
